 David Gilmour
Founder, President and CEO
Prior to founding Tacit in 1997, David Gilmour served as co-founder and senior vice president and chief research officer for Giga Information Group. Prior to Giga, Gilmour served as acting president and CEO of Versant Object Technology, a vendor of object-oriented database management systems and tools.
From 1984 to 1991, Gilmour held a series of executive positions at Lotus Development Corporation, including vice president of the Database Systems Division and general manager of the Advanced Products Division.
Gilmour holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering and applied physics, a Master of Science degree in engineering, as well as a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, all from Harvard University.
