Tacit has a structured methodology that makes installation, integration, user adoption, and measurement of results in first deployments easy. A Springboard Deployment typically begins with identifying a business hotspot where ActiveNet is needed. For each step, Tacit provides a number of key project planning and deployment documents, further streamlining the process. There are three phases to this approach:

• Project Kickoff and Planning: In this phase, groups participating in the initial deployment of ActiveNet are identified and a clear context is established for their use of ActiveNet. Then, project plans are reviewed and approved by stakeholders in IT and employee privacy advocates (e.g. Chief Privacy Officer). Other tasks in this phase include the completion of technical pre-installation tasks and the identification of specific target users who will be the focal point of the value analysis.



• Software Deployment: ActiveNet software is installed and configured. In addition, training for administrators will be completed and initial communications to the participating business group(s) will be sent. At the end of this phase, the ActiveNet system will go live.



• Initial Usage and Value Review: Specific feedback on how ActiveNet is functioning within the organization is collected. This part of the process also involves regular review of system metrics to confirm usage and detailed monitoring of the product’s use by the target users identified in the planning phase. This analysis provides a better understand of what new connections are being made and what new disconnects are being discovered in preparation for a broader rollout.

The planning phase of the Springboard Deployment process can take up to four weeks, depending on individual customer situations. Software deployment and usage/value review phases typically span a total of four weeks. The end result is that all of the processes are in place for a smooth transition to a larger deployment.
